In my junior year I got three phone numbers. And only one person called me back. I sit with a group of girls but most of the time they're asking me for money but they never invite me anywhere, and rarely offer to sit with me at lunch. In the first start of the year no one talks to me and most kids at my school and it's always brief. I tried to talk to my friend from last year but after she graduated she never called me and ignored my calls and rejected every place I invited her too. For my birthday my older sister bought her friend and boyfriend to my birthday party. I had a good time but everybody else I tried to invite either didn't talk to me for months or said they didn't want to go. There has been a ton of times where I'd sit alone at lunch while everyone else is socializing and having fun. I made straight C's all first quarter. And I'm still struggling in school to make a B. I always walk home alone and only one person offered to walk with me during my whole high school career. I am often excluded from social events and get togethers. I only have three friends, all younger than me and they don't go to my school. I am very unpopular and keeping friends in my life is hard. It's been this way since 7th grade. Hell, I'm pretty sure my own family is embarrassed to be seen with me in public because I look so bad on the outside and they make a point to make that obvious. Is this normal to be this unpopular? :/ my mom says I should go to a different school but this always happens to me. I am either bullied a lot or I barely have any friends or none.

I was paired up randomly with a guy to do lab experiments together starting from 2 months ago. He's very sociable and friendly and we've only hung out 3 times (1-1 meet up); the first time was studying in school, second time was studying in his room from afternoon till 10.30pm (and watching funny videos :D), the third time was having lunch in school + study. He was the one asking whether I was free to hang out and I readily agree to him.

Our convos are usually about common interests, studies, finding out more about each other etc, so I wouldn't consider us awkward as we don't run out of topics to talk about.

As we have our own social circles as well, during the days when we don't hang out we'll usually communicate through Instagram (replying each other's insta story) as well as Whatsapp.

I'm wondering whether he has any special feeling to me (even if there's a BIT of it) or not, because I'm growing fond of him nowadays. A little info about him would be sociable with many people and quite popular among girls. Any kind souls willing to answer my deep thoughts? :D
