How embarrassing is it to say you spent 18 months with some and can't even remember why you started datin them in the first place?

I was was on the final steps of ending our relationship but he's an electro engineer and I happened to mentioned to a colleague at my new company that his huge name company also provides them with the same laptops we all hate because they aren't Apple and they are supposed to be the best hardware wise in the business.

They are water resistant, he has run with one in hand on rain confidently more than once and solid system.

I loved him but I'm not in love with him because he isn't capable of being in love or letting anyone truly in. I got close but I just don't think he is capable until he reaches his insane financial goals or maybe never. Not judging off our relationship but his pattern since 20. His high school girlfriend brown his heart and never again. His older brother is nearly 40 and doesn't even date.

Anyways because use I've been working on closing that door in my heart and we are only more comfortable together than anything I couldn't even remember what drew us together over other people when asked.

I know the feeling but I can't give the reasons. I remember our first date, second, third, fourth... I remember it was that he was overly honest. And it rained on our second date and he brought an umbrella and we kissed under it.

But I now know he only likes me after our first date upon seeing my car. Pretty, well off and smart but maybe hipster. I hate that if I had been driving the new Corolla I had 6 months prior to upgrading to a Volvo it would have been case closed at date one. He makes more money than me but I hate when he recalls my casual clothing led him to believe I was a broke hipster when he invited me to a pub and I had on nice summer clothes but no heels and a long scarf in case we sat inside.

We had a great relationship but it ended in a weird way and a way and I believe it truly isn't over with the weirdness in ending. If you want to know more jsut ask. Anyway since the bu he has been in contact with me. he was the initiater. It started with asking how I was etc and then just random talking to finally asking to hang. We wound up having sex and had it a few times since. Its been 3 months since the bu. Still doesn't feel real. He still acts very loving when I do see him etc and i sleep over. So it just still seems like something there. I asked if he wanted to come over the other day. He said he didn't know about that lol and I asked why. He replied that he had a lot going on and did not know how he was feeling about everything going on right now. Could he potentially be feeling some sort of way. Like either guilty that we have had sex a few times or feeling that he wants to try again with each other or what? I just told him I was there if he needed anything. I might text him in another few days to see how he is if he doesn't text me first. I do love him and hope we can rekindle something because I think the feelings never went away and the way things ended was dumb.
