My girlfriend and I have been together for 3 years. About a year ago we got into a heated argument and she got so upset that she grabbed my laptop and threw it, causing it to break badly. The laptop could not be fixed. I was very upset and sad because my mom had given the laptop to me for school, as a gift, shortly before passing away. The laptop meant a lot to me.

When it broke, I was working part time and she wasn't working at all. I told her she needed to pay for it. She didn't have the money on her to buy me the same laptop, so she opened up a credit card and purchased a new laptop for me the next week. Of course she accrued interest charges and late fees on her card from not having a job. & When she did buy a new laptop, she didn't seem remorseful, it seemed more like she did it just to have peace between us.

Now a year later we are still together and haven't had any issues, we've worked out our problems. I believe that incident was a one time thing. She started a new job a few months ago when she graduated from school. I can't help but feel bad for her. She is paying for her living expenses, student loans, and on top of that is still paying off her credit card purchase for my laptop.

A part of me feels like since time has passed, we are okay now, and I'm working, I should help her pay off some of the credit card balance. I care about her and don't want her to be struggling financially because of this. On the other hand I feel like it's not my problem because it was her choice to break my laptop and she has to deal with the consequence.

My one female computer teacher was nice enough to give me full credit on my last assignment that I missed and is still letting me to turn it in. Now my view on women is much nicer. Does that make me a bad person?

I'm just wondering since I just started my first day as a part-time janitor for LA Fitness Gym. At first, I thought it wouldn't be so bad since I already have custodian experience from working for the public schools but it's just awful for me today. I was completely on my own and I was lost and confused on what my Janitor/Custodian lead wanted me to do on her list of task she left me on her note inside the custodial office room.

I finished the job about 20 minutes after my shift ended and I feel like absolute crap and an idiot today. I feel that I won't survive this job for the next 1 month and a half and am already considering quitting the job but I'd feel like a jerk for wasting the employer's time and I desperately need money to pay off my credit card debt before my credit card limit maxes out (after being unemployed for several months).
