I've never been charged with anything before. Today I got pulled over for doing 97mph on a 65mph road. I was given a citation and a court date. I will simply pay the fine online. But now my problem is, will it affect my chances of getting in a good college (UT Dallas)? Am I seen as a bad guy in the eyes of the law now? Sorry if I sound stupid, but this is the first time that I've tangoed with the law and I'm not used to feeling like a bad boy.

It seems there's an increase in traffic in this site since the change from the old GAG experience.

So, todays been a bad day for driving. It really astonds me how many oblivious people are in this world. What kind of drivers piss you off the most? You can almost comment on what I write here.

So, I was behind this guy in a taxi cab going 20 mph in a 30...its a 4 lane highway, no body was in front of this guy and I was probably a couple car lengths behind him. I go to pass (not in a agressive manor), so I get in front doing about 40. This guy gets in the left hand lane speeds past me , cuts back into my lane with no turn signal and slams on his brakes for no reason and precedes to do 20 again. I try to pass him again and he cuts over blocking my way. Then to the right cuts over again. WTF? And it was adverse conditions too and he was backing up a long line of traffic causing them to tailgate and cut over lanes trying to get around. Granted I speed sometimes and may briefly "politely" tailgate people driving under the speed limit in the left lane to tell them to speed up or move over, but not following too closely. And yes there are people who drive crazy fast and cut in and out and tailgate within inches. But, I think in many cases driving too slow where you shouldn't be and backing up traffic is more dangerous than driving too fast. I've seen people drive as slow as 35 mph on a 65 mph interstate in light traffic and they weren't old people either! IMO, those people are posing a bigger risk of a collision than the person doing 90. 99% of the traffic is going faster than that the person going to slow. The one person going too fast only he is going faster. Its simple probability.

People who cut me off get me too. 75% of the people who do end up going slower than I was. And ideally I leave following distance but if someone cuts you off that following distance immediately goes to 0 , especially if your coming up to a red light where everyone's stopped. No turn signal gets me too, all state should require people to use turn signals. Otherwise you don't what a driver is doing. 90% of the peoplewho cuy me off don't use their blinker. And you might think some of these people driving are extra cautious defensive drivers. Nope many of the people who drive too slow don't use turn signals orput their llights on in the rain and act completely oblivious of their surroindings.

Then there is neighborhoods, the one place I don't drive fast. I was driving through this neighborhood the other day going 20 in a 25. This kid runs out in front of me out of nowhere and the mother comes out of the house screaming at me. Yes I wouldve been horrified. But lady you need to watch your kid. The street does still carry cars its not a basketball court. I don't care if I'm crawlimg at 10 mph, I can only react so fast I'm human, your kid shouldn't be running out in the street if you were a good parent. I'm supprised more kids aren't hurt or abducted the way parents supervise their kids. Then there's the adult pedestrians who don't think they have to look before they cross.
