Being an introvert, I love my own space but I’ve realised that the reason I’ve always been persistent with you is because i feel insecure about our friendship and that’s because I haven’t told you that I like you as more than a friend. I have done for months but I i didn’t tell you before because i was afraid of losing you as a friend and I’d much rather have you as a friend than lose you completely. I’m telling you now as I thought my insecurity would just lead to you feeling even more bombarded & that wouldn’t be healthy. I’ve also realised that friendship needs to be based on honesty. I think as long as you know and I have a response from you, I’ll be able to give you space when necessary, whatever your response is as it will be a massive burden lifted off my shoulders. My question for you is would you date me? At the very least, I hope we can remain good friends - you really are a great friend. I will respect whatever your response Is. Take as much time as you need to respond, I won’t follow this up until you reply.

- She used to text me every other day (sometimes about pointless videos or articles she found or even a drink she just had). She didn’t do this with anyone else.
- She used to hint at wanting to meet up all the time.
- Shed come to things when I told her I was going or already there. Although that could just be because she liked those things too.
- Unless she has other plans, she always agrees to a meet with me (every week).
- When I called her mate in a message, she thought I meant to send it to someone else because only guys say mate to each other.
- She signed my name on a group birthday card to a friend as i wasn’t there when everyone signed it. A mutual friend told me this later.
- Mutual Friends keep hinting at me to make a move on her.
- Now if it’s just us 2 she says she’s ready to go home now.
- Now she also doesn’t text me as much and gives shorter replies when I text. Not the really long replies she used to give me.
- She always moved away when I got too close to her though and never touched me back when I touched her.
- I’ve kept calling her a friend by accident. And early on I told her I only see her as a friend as I was scared of losing her as a friend as well. I also implied her best friend told me I like her and she got angry at her.
- The other day I assumed she avoided me at an event I went to and I told her I’d be there too. So I texted her to apologise saying I’m assuming you walked out early because you wanted to be alone so sorry if you just wanted to go alone. She felt really bad about it and said she thought I didn’t go in the end as she had a spare seat next to her and no one sat in it. I feel like she was testing me a bit like how I test her sometimes. To see if I go and talk to her.
