Search Results: not having a license

Hi,

I never got the chance to date in my life. I do not own a car because of military complexities combined with state laws. Also I never bothered to get a driving license because in high school I really prefered to focus on studying and self development.

However recently the thought occurred to me that if I'd get a date sometime in the future, most likely she'll be living up to 40 minutes of driving from me. Would it be really pathetic that I'd have to get there by public transportation? And that obviously I won't be able to drive her around and such?

If I'll start the process of getting a license I think I'll have it in about a year. Should I stay out of the scene until I'll get it? (For my own good, in order to prevent unpleasant situations and all...)

PS - It's not extraordinary not having a car by my age in my place but what really bothers me is not having a license. So that unlike most guys, I have no business even borrowing my dad's/friend's car for a date.
