Abortion... A controversial topic maybe?

In some places around the world it’s frowned upon and people are shunned for it. In some places it’s perfectly legal and is even a free service provided for eligible individuals.

In New Zealand, abortion is legal and you can terminate anytime right up till 14 weeks. In Australia you can terminate up till 24 weeks gestation! (But with strict criteria).

Now for a brief insight to how far along the pregnancy may be at those dates:

14 weeks: the baby can squint, frown, grimace and pee! Sometimes even suck their thumbs. They are approximately the size of lemon.

24 weeks: the baby is almost the length of an ear of corn! (subway foot long size) And your belly can be size of a soccer ball. The baby can hear your voice, their faces are fully formed and can breath air instead of fluid.

What are your thoughts, again I’m more biased towards the medical field and sciences behind it and feel that people should have their own choice/ opinions in regards to pregnancy and termination.

If so, is abortion the cure?

So women can legally option out of being a parent in the form of an abortion or adoption. Men however don't have the same right. They have no legal way to stop being a parent. The only other way is if they just become a dead beat who doesn't pay child support and isn't in his child's life. Should men legally be allowed to option out of being a father? As in they have no legal or financial responsibility for the child. I mean an unexpected pregnancy can affect a man's life just as much as a woman's but ultimately only women have options when such a situation arises. So should men be able to option out of parenthood?
