This is long, so if anything, read the first two parafraphs and the last paragraph.

So while I was out with my friends playing boardgames and socializing, my mother decided to take ut upon herself to go through somr of my nasty, old marching band shirts without telling me first. I'm fine that she went and tossed them for me, but what I am not happy about is that she did so without telling me first. I wouldn't have been mad if she texted telling me she was going to do this.

This isn't her first offense either. She micromanages my twin brother and I to no end. She still goes out and acts like she's shopping for us, goes to the counter and pays, helps us choose things out and tells us where and where not to shop, even goes BY HERSELF to shop for my brother's clothes. She constantly tells us what to do and how to do it and gets very angry and unreasonable when we do something a different way.

Also, after I told her that I would have liked her to tell me she was going to go through my nasty band shirts, she got unreasonably defensive and said that I need to take care of shipping all of my stuff to college, amoung other things that honestly, I should have been doing already (such as clean and go through my room and do my own laundry etc)

I know I sound extremely spoiled and I probably am, but my parents have kinda made me that way... My mom stays at home and does house work while my dad works as a lawyer. So don't tell me I'm spoiled, I already know it.

So I want to prove a point to her- is it a reasonable request to tell someone or ask permission before going to go through their stuff?
