Search Results: good songs or bands

I was recently trying to identify rock bands that are putting up hits these days, but I couldn't think of any. There are smaller rock bands out there, but none of them are competing for the top spots on the charts. The top songs on the charts are always by Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and the Black Eyed Peas. There was a time when hits were timeless. People still listen to the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. I predict that in 10 years, few people will even remember who Ke$ha is.

Now some hits that come out theses days are good. I like Eninem, and songs like Empire State of Mind will always be remembered. But most of the new songs I download are played for a few months until something else comes out. Then I'll look back to these songs and wonder what I was thinking when I downloaded them. The music of our generation should not be a fad that is forgotten the year after it's produced.

Anyway, the point of this question is to ask, do you think rock and roll will make a comeback?
