Basically, I am senior in college in NYC and about to graduate in about three weeks. But I'm really confused about this particular girl that I like.

The girl I'm interested in is a sophomore in college, so she still has quite sometime left in school. I met her in one of the clubs I heavily participated in (in my junior year).

I noticed that she was also super excited to see me and sit next to me and smile. I was somewhat insecure in myself at the time and wasn't sure if she liked me or not and so I never asked her out. A few months later I became interested in her again, but I noticed that she didn't seem that interested in me anymore. Later, one of my friends told me that she had a boyfriend now. Two weeks ago, I went to a huge student event with my friends and I complimented her. She said thank you with a big smile and then walked away. Afterwards, we made eye contact again from across the room and I swear she looked like she was into me (from my perspective).

Last week, we had another student event. I went to get some food from a table where she was standing. We were both alone together and when I looked up, I could tell she had been kinda looking at me. Eventually that night I asked for her number and she gave it to me. The next day I texted her about GOT and Avengers. She told me she wanted to watch Avengers again (probably alone). Then I told her I promised her I'd watch it with my friends, but that I'd be down to watch it with her instead. She didn't reply for at least a day. Then I texted her asking how many exams she has (a double text). Then she finally replied saying that she only has two exams and that I don't have to watch with her and that she's fine going alone. She even told me that she'd be down to watch the movie with me and my friends (which to me means not the two of us alone).

Basically, I'm just confused. Does she even like me? Is she trying to let me know she only wants friendship? Should I bother asking her out for lunch/dinner?

I met this girl at school. For the sake of convenience, let's call her Joanna.

Looks-wise I found her completely average with the exception of amazing legs, but her upbeat personality definitely made her 10x cuter in my eyes.

She was a casual friend of mine. She'd smile at me and we'd have small talk, but never had in depth conversations.

Basically, a friend of mine invited some of his friends to a party at his house, and that party included me, Joanna, and some other friends of his, both male and female.

At the party, we were having fun. Mostly just drinking, hearing some nice music, and playing video games.

Then, the rest of the people wanted to go out to buy some food, while me and Joanna just wanted to stay and play some more Smash Bros.

And we did just that...

But then out of nowhere, after a few rounds, we got worn out.

And then Joanna said, "(my name), have you ever noticed how I never ever wear pants, and only wear shorts?"

Then I said, "I guess?"

Then she smiled and went on to say, "The truth is, I used to be very insecure, and a lot more lazy. But in the past few years, I've been going to the gym more, putting in the willpower to shave my legs, eating healthier. And now, it's gotten to the point where I absolutely despise pants and only want to wear shorts, because it reminds me of the hard work I've been putting into being healthy all these years."

And I just looked at her and said, "Yeah?"

Then she said, "Yeah. Plus, whenever I'm bored I just like to feel my legs all over. They're so soft and smooth it's ridiculous. Before I became healthier they were never this lovely."

And she smiled and leaned on me real quick, I blushed kind of hard. Then she suddenly said, "Now back to gaming!" And eventually everyone else came back and the party continued. Nothing else happened from there.

But man... what was she doing?

Was she flirting with me, or was it just casual small talk?
