So I was talking to this guy for three months. We recently stopped talking though because he mentioned that he was trying to choose between me and his ex and I told him I would make it easy for him and that I wasn’t really feeling what we had anymore. That was about 2 weeks ago. A few days after that happened, I reached out to him and told him that I wanted to make sure things were cool between us and that there was no bad blood. He told me there wasn’t and that we were still cool. Well over the past few weeks, we’ve still been messaging each other mainly playing iPhone games. We’ve had a few side conversations, but nothing too significant. Well at one point he asked if we could still hang out as friends even tho I’m no longer romantically attracted to him and he also mentioned that he’s happy that I still talk to him. We were messaging tonight and we had been rather cordial all day and then he asked me “have you found my replacement yet?” I asked him why he cared. At first he said “who said that I cared” but then after I asked him why he asked he said “just wanted to know. Maybe I do care.” I responded saying “how’s your ex.” And I told him that he should worry about her not me. Then he responded saying “that he’s only worried about her and that he has no intention on focusing on anyone else.” Then to clarify, he added “let’s make sure we’re on the same page. Just because I asked that question doesn’t mean there’s any intention behind it.” So my question is... why would he ask me that question then. I mean, I understand him just wondering, but... I can’t help but wonder if there actually was an ulterior motive.

my friend has been dating this guy for a month and for the past week they’ve seen each other every day and slept over every night and now she’s saying she wants to keep some of her stuff at his place... i’m just worried about her because it seems to be going extremely fast with a guy she’s known 6 weeks (she’s 17 he’s 22)

Summary about this woman:

- she’s in her early 30s and I’m in my early 20s

- we were part of the same group of 6-8 friends

- she started dating a guy of the group, and I other one

- I know for a fact she’s very controlling to the boyfriend who is in love with her (my friend) and extremely demeaning/manipulative. None of my business, I don’t interfere, but It made me not like her.

- she stopped hanging out with my boyfriend after he started dating me (it’s well known in our group she doesn’t like me for some reason Idk)

Now the latest and what made me ask this question, she is starting to try and create problems where there arent:

- asked my mom if she knows my boyfriend and I are moving in together (we are not and it got my conservative mom very worried and to fight with me)

- keeps asking my boyfriend if he really likes me or if I really like him etc, or insisting his family wouldn't like me

- she's hosting a dinner party this weekend and made a group but privately messaged my boyfriend to come, and said she doesn't care if I don't come when he mentioned I had another party to go to

- there are a million other little examples of her trying to create arguments between us, basically

Our other friends think she is either jealous of mine her her bf’s past friendship, or she’s into my boyfriend. Well it doesn’t matter.

My question is. We will surely keep meeting as we live nearby and hang out at the same places.
