So I'm A 20 year old dating a 27 year old. We've been together 9 months. He's my first and though I felt it earlier, I waited till two months ago to say I love you.
He never replied, I finally asked him one day. He told me it's a heavy word and he'd only say it when he means it. (Maybe he just doesn't like me as much as i do and i should be prepared for a break up :(
I suppose age changes your view on things a lot, and perhaps I'm just still in the infatuation stage, but here's my question.

How long do you have to be in a relationship to know you're with someone who's worth committing to/someone you can see yourself marrying. Also with how old you are.

PS not committed doesn't mean not exclusive. Just... Serious and maybe the point where you think you'd end up marrying this person someday

I'm really confused about how I feel.
I'm 18, I've liked a handful of guys but only had real feelings for one in the past, but I think that was more infatuation than anything.

I met this guy right at the beginning of June and I've seen him everyday since then except once. We hang out with our mutual friends but sometimes its just us, we do all sorts of fun stuff and also just chill and watch movies. Lately, I spend most nights with him too.

At first I thought I just lusted after him cause he's very attractive and we messed around a little. But I miss him when I've only gone a few hours away from him. I have fun with him, just being around him makes me really happy.

I worry about him a lot and feel really protective over him. I like making him happy and taking care of him. At the same time I think he can be a brat and an ass, and I recognize all his faults (theres plenty..) but I can't stop loving him.

I've kissed 5-6 people, people I'm attracted to, but still he's the only person I enjoy kissing. His lips feel perfect. When I'm laying with him I feel safe and my anxiety goes away. I want to have sex with him and its not completely about sex itself. When he says I love you (all of us in our group say it to each other) or "I miss you" I feel giddy.

We fight often but get over it quickly. I wake up every morning with his arm around me and I feel like I could lay like that for hours.

I Just found myself crying because I know that when next semester starts up I won't see him very much. Going a day without seeing him sucks, going a whole week would be hell.

I don't want to like him. He told a friend he had feelings for me but he's on and off with a girlfriend. The whole situation is wrong, I know.

I'd say twice so far for me. Once in elementary (its definitely possible because I'm still in love with him til this day) and once in high school. I'm still waiting for that college moment. As for lust and infatuation, lol thats a different story...
