When someone is flirting with you or leaves hints that they like you are you oblivious or are you conscious?

I'm oblivious as fuck. Mainly because I always talk myself down. It's fun to dream and make up fantasies in your head of what it would be like if something did happen, but when it comes back to reality I think to myself, "why would anyone like me?"

At first I think to myself, "I wonder if he likes me." Then I think, "haha what a funny joke. They're probably just being nice to me." Someone could flirt with me for a year and I still wouldn't know if you liked me until the words came out of your mouth.

Personally I just don't like to get my hopes up so I tear myself down before someone else has the chance. I don't want to be the girl who misinterprets hints, because then it turns out to be that you have chasing some poor innocent guy who has no interest in you at all. They're kind to you once and all of sudden you think they want to marry you. Everything is either black or white with me. Beating around the bush does not work with.

This someone is not afraid to step on your feelings, most of the time they don't mean it and can be not that bright sometimes. Their moods are all over the place and they also bother you on a daily basis (immature). On the other their a type of person who makes you feel secure and safe. They are very dependable when you need them the most.
