Are you oblivious or conscious when it comes to flirting?

When someone is flirting with you or leaves hints that they like you are you oblivious or are you conscious?

I'm oblivious as fuck. Mainly because I always talk myself down. It's fun to dream and make up fantasies in your head of what it would be like if something did happen, but when it comes back to reality I think to myself, "why would anyone like me?"

At first I think to myself, "I wonder if he likes me." Then I think, "haha what a funny joke. They're probably just being nice to me." Someone could flirt with me for a year and I still wouldn't know if you liked me until the words came out of your mouth.

Personally I just don't like to get my hopes up so I tear myself down before someone else has the chance. I don't want to be the girl who misinterprets hints, because then it turns out to be that you have chasing some poor innocent guy who has no interest in you at all. They're kind to you once and all of sudden you think they want to marry you. Everything is either black or white with me. Beating around the bush does not work with.

Conscious but ignore when someone isn't straight forward. a lot of girls do the hitting around the bushes, make themselves extra available, does funny things because they are cowards or rides some old gender nonsense and make themselves creepy in the process.

I am exactly how you described yourself. My husband tells me he loves me every day, and how beautiful i am. He buys me cars, houses, etc... I am still in my head wondering if he loves me 😂.

Ironically, I can spot when guys are flirting with other people, just not with me. Don't ask me how that works...

We people I already know, I can be oblivious, or my reaction is me wanting them to stop. With random strangers however I know exactly what they are doing and I hate with a passion.

I assume nothing is flirting preemptively so I never have to deal with it. If I’m infested, I’ll ask the person out.

flirting is not helpful to me towards me bc I ignore it , nor useful to me from me bc I’m direct.

If anything , flirting just confuses things plus do awkward. 🤢

I was told several times, back when I was single, that someone had been flirting with me, and I was oblivious to it. I thought they were just being friendly. It took a few comments from others, for me to better understand when a girl is flirting, and when they are just being friendly. Though it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes.

Nah I’m aware of it. I’m also aware of guys that stare at me all the time. I don't know it’s weird.. I notice every little thing going on around me. However, I’m never completely sure unless it’s ABSOLUTELY obvious or they say it straight to my face. Honestly I don’t get my hopes up either. Oblivious to soft flirts. I dont take compliments well. At this club I work at, I get told women love my hair. It certainly attracts a few beyond just liking it. I can see a flirt if it's specific and all, but "I like you" really is not a flirt in anyway to me.

That depends. Sometimes, I'm so focused on work, I don't realize the events when they happen. At other times, I'm not available, so I pretend I did't understand, as to decline without her losing face.
