Depends on how they do it.
I, for example play devils advocate all the time.
The rule is, if the subject party isn't there to defend themselves, then I will speculate and try to be openminded in their defence.
And I would do it to and for anyone.
Not sure if that counts as playing both sides though. Maybe it's more like not taking one at all.
But like, if someone else change their opinions on whims, trashtalk on everyone or pit their friends against eachother..
I just know they do it to me too. There is no trust from my side of it and I'll be open with that.
Where we go from there though is up to them. I have a friendship-category whithout trust. They can still have their place in my circle, I just won't count on them or take them serious. But we can still have fun in the right setting.
I give people the benefit of the doubt, but I don’t like being talked about behind my back once that I realize that you’re after something or not loyal to me that’s a problem

I never really did, but I definitely don't trust them now. There's certain things that you just can't play both sides of. Particularly where facts are concerned. Something either is, or it isn't, and the reality is that in my world, that difference can cost people lots of money, it can cost people their lives; in some cases it can even kill people. I have no patience for people who weaponize "I feel" statements, as though their feelings are facts or rules that the rest of us need to play be.
You can feel however you want feel about any given situation, but the facts don't line up with your feelings, other people need to be comfortable pointing that out.
You can be considerate of a person's feelings without hating the people they hate. Just like you can love two dogs that are fighting without shooting one when they fight.
I believe taking a side and having a stand is important. Trying to be diplomatic in personal relationships doesn't work. If someone is playing both sides consider them as not your ally definitely. It's not grey. It's either black or white. Make it clear.
Depends on the context and if they are mistreating you badly in any given way. If so, no don't trust them. Otherwise, why should I not.
Not at all , they aren’t your friends period , that is what you call a toxic friend
No, I don't trust her, I had a friend like this and we had a very bad fight, I blocked her and took her out of my life.
If you mean the person that shows he is friends with you and your enemies, I wouldn’t be friends with such a person on the first place
I’d find that hard unless I trusted the other person.
two faced? 🤣 nah thanks
That is "dangerous af"...
