I am 25 years old and never had a girlfriend. I just recently turned 25, by the way.

I had sex once when I was 20 (she was 16), but she did not want to be in a relationship with me, despite both of us being virgins. It was a weekend fling, and I only met her in person once.

I strongly believe I will be single the rest of my life. I cannot (and will not) get over a woman's romantic past. I cannot get over the fact a woman has had a boyfriend before me or even a male best friend whom she had feelings for, especially from her youth. So yeah, I am destined to be alone.

Even when guys just want to have a casual fling or overcome attraction, the reason we go after her heart is because... the way to a women's everything is through her heart. Are men therefore guilty of playing and cheating on her emotions? Would you get headway if you made your primal wants clear from the start? Have you lived through your pants about how much you love and admire her only to bed her?

This question is for both sexes. Would you really be ok with somebody that has had a lot of flings or would it always be something that would bother you? I feel like people really never give their honest opinion on things like this.

I am pushing into my 30’s so I would like to marry in the next few years. Was seeing this girl for a bit really got along but she told me about all the flings and friends with benefits she had and it really turned me off wanting a serious relationship with her. I know it’s none of my business what she did prior to meeting me but couldn’t stop thinking about it.
