Our cultures and religions are so different so I'm a little worried about whether or not this is even something worth pursuing. I'm a Pakistani American Muslim and he is a Bolivian American Athiest.

I don't think either of us intended to develop feelings for each other...and at one point we even tried talking to other people, but we both ended up coming back to each other. It's not that I don't like guys from my own culture- it's just, not a lot of them share the same interests as me and I've never felt a connection as strong as I feel with him.. We can talk and laugh about a lot of different things. He understands my moods and notices small things about me. We've had our ups and downs, but we always manage to pull through in the end.. And above all, I know he likes me for the right reasons because I wear a head scarf, dress modest, and have made it clear I don't believe in physical intimacy before marriage... and yet he is so respectful and sticks around (It's been over a year). I just don't know where this could go if our families don't approve and I like him enough that I'd rather stay away from him (something that will be really hard for me) if it means avoiding him getting more hurt further down the road.

Do you think I should keep going with the flow and see where it leads or break things permanently between us before its too late?
