Search Results: arguing with my best guy friend

I met this girl a while ago on social media and I've began to love her and I didn't realize she liked me at first but recently she's gotten a new boyfriend and I can already tell it's a bad relationship. One he's overzealous/jealous of her and doesn't trust her at all, two he argues with her a lot, and three he's caused her (not intentionally) to attempt suicide and cut herself both of which she promised me she wouldn't do.

I've tried to tell her to leave him but she won't and it's clear she won't be anytime soon and quite frankly I don't even want to be friends with her anymore as I don't want to deal with the pain that will come if she kills herself or cuts again over this guy. She says she loves me too but It's hard to believe as she never tells me when she's sad or rarely even tells me these things. I promised her I would never leave her but I'm started to think it's pointless remaining friends with her if she remains with this asshole of a boyfriend. It's so obvious he's only with her for her body or because of how she looks but she stays with him and when I ask her why she says "It's comfortable knowing I have her".

What should I do? She clearly doesn't care about me enough to as she's choosing him over me and her other best friend who she considers her sister so why should I waste my time? I'm tired of connecting with people only to get hurt in the long run intentionally or unintentionally because I KNOW for a FACT that if she remains with this guy she'll attempt suicide again and maybe suicide and fail (she's told me she's attempted it before without telling me though the most recent time she was going to attempt it she told me first and I prevented her from doing it) or cut herself (recently she's cut herself like 5 times) again and I don't want to be hurt by it as I love her a lot.

Some background, my girlfriend is 19 and I'm 22. I've been with my girlfriend for almost 8 months now and it's honestly been the best time of my life. We've had our highs and lows, but we always seem to work through our issues. Until recently that is. The other night my girlfriend, her female roommate, and my GF's "close friend" slept in the same bed together. She told me laughing because she thought it was amusing that they all were drunk and just passed out. I told her I was not comfortable with her sleeping in the same bed as another man, period. I finally let it go because her friend was in the same bed etc. My girlfriend then proceeded to tell me even if it was just her and another guy I should be ok with it. I made it very clear that I would not be and that I would not tolerate it. We argued intensely and she basically told me that she's always slept in the same bed as her guy friends, and that I would simply have to get over it. Then, yesterday, she tells me that Saturday night she, her same female room mate, and the same guy friend went to a party. At the end of the night the three returned to my GF's house and went to sleep. This time the female room mate slept in her own bed and my girlfriend and her close guy friend slept together by themselves. I took this as a complete slap to the face since it was only days after we had argued about it. My question, am I wrong for feeling this way? I turned the tables and asked how she would feel and she responded that she would not mind. I'm firm in my belief that no other man should be in my GF's bed, to open one's self to situations that lend themselves to suspicion shows me that she does not respect my feelings. Thoughts?
