so this is my last chance going to prom because i'm a senior in high school. I didn't go in my junior year cause no one asked me and i didn't feel like it. I'm not going this year again also because no one asked and i don't want to (not being asked is one factor because it would be awkward to go to prom alone). all my friends want me to go but i don't want to spend money on a dress i'm only going to wear for one night. So would that make me look anit-social or weird if i don't go?

I've been to prom my sophomore and junior year at my school, as well has two prom's at another school with my ex, and most of my "closer" friends were a year or two older than me... so I had a really great time at prom my previous years. This year though, I'm a graduating senior but my mom is making me choose between the two, since money is really tight right now because of all the expenses I have to pay off before I leave for college as well has college finances itself. Anyway, both are $125 and I have to choose between the two. For prom, the ticket price may be only $125, but I'd have to get a dress/have makeup/have hair done-- making things more expensive. My friends all all want me to go because this is my last year, so I should go because it's apparently the obvious answer. The thing is, I have been to a couple already, so it's not a big deal if I go r not; ot's just the fact that it may be the last dance I ever go to. However, senior graduation night fpr a majority of the sountern california schools is held at Disneyland, so all seniors would take a field trip there. Most of the seniors at my school are staying at a Disneyland resort, so it may be extra too if I choose to go. I'he never been to a "senior night" and it's something I can only experience once. The only thing that makes me have second thought is the fact that I go to Disneyland a lot, so it's not like I can't ever visit the park again, I just won't see my fellow seniors anymore after that night. S what should I do?

I texted a guy for three weeks, he is a senior and I'm a freshman. He texted me every day and on weekends he texted me in the morning. One day on the weekend he didn't text me until I texted him that night. He said he just didn't feel good, he said he had a bad day starting with a headache. The next day which was a Sunday, he didn't text me and I didn't text him either. I didn't want to annoy him. By the time it was Monday, he didn't text me but he had his phone out in gym class. So I told him I didn't want to be friends anymore because I thought that he wasn't interested anymore. Was he uninterested or just taking a break from talking to me?
The day I told him that I didn't want to talk anymore, it happened to be a different girls birthday they started talking 3 days later. now they're going to prom together, do you think they were talking already or after I told him I didn't want to be friends? He liked most of her pictures on facebook even when we were talking

I'm a senior in HS and looking for a date to Prom, and I immediately thought of this guy (Junior, by the way) who I interact a lot with on social media & rarely in person. We seem to find a lot of the same things funny and have really similar views.
However, I did not want to be too forward with this guy and wanted to get to know him before I asked to go to prom (as friends). I decided to have one of our mutual friends set up a day for us three to all hang out together. So, on Friday a week ago we all hung out for a couple hours and we all had a lot of fun. This guy even made a point to go up to my younger brother and tell him how much fun it was to hang out with me because they are in an upcoming play together for my school.
So during the week after we hang out and I notice he seems to be making more eye contact with me and noticing me more (nothing that screams I LIKE YOU, but a little more flirty than usual). After school I finally decide to go up and talk to him right before he leaves. I sparked the conversation and he seemed pleasantly surprised, relaxed and smiled a lot. We had a very short conversation before he said he had to go and I ended with "I liked hanging out with you Friday", he said "Yeah, same" (or something of that nature).
A couple days and he seems to be acting the same towards me on social media. But yesterday I DM'd him on Twitter (I don't have his number) asking which nights he was in the upcoming play. Nothing else, and no smiley faces or anything flirty. He has yet to respond but I've seen him tweet things so I can be positive he has seen it.
Other things I know about him would be that based on his Twitter accounts (and he lets me follow his private twitter) he seems pretty insecure and I heard from his friend and ex-gf that he can be awkward around girls he does not know that well, however he seems confident in his friend group.
My question is, what is going on that would make him ignore a simple question? And what should I do?

my boyfriend wants to take his "best friend" to her senior prom... should I be upset that he isn't taking me or should I just get over it. I truly am hurt & I feel like his second choice... I'm not really comfortable with him dancing with her or taking her pretty much out on a "date" for the night... how should I feel?
