This guy and I are a fantastic match as far as compatibility is concerned. We share the same sense of humour, have similar interests and on the same page in terms of morals and values. He is actually boyfriend material. Very caring and attentive also.

Date 1 was bowling. We had a great time. We were affectionate and the date ended with a kiss. Date 2 he took me on a jetboat ride and lunch afterwards, great time again.

In between these dates I wasn't really feeling that magic excitement to hurry up and see him again. I wasn't even feeling the need to text or talk everyday with him. It left me confused as to why. I did have a little bit of an attraction to him but it was just so so.

On the second date when he dropped me home, I invited him in. We got very sexy on the couch, straddling him, bit of grinding and massive make out session. I hadn't done anything like this with anyone since I broke up with my ex 4 mths ago so naturally I was getting a little excited at the thought another man was totally into me and desired me that way.

Because he wasn't actually setting me alight with his kisses I decided to sleep with him more so because I wanted to see if having sex would ignite something and whether afterwards I would feel some sort of bond or attachment. I didn't feel attachment. The sex itself was not bad.

Isn't it meant to be happy and exciting, your supposed to want to shag the shit out of that person every time you are together. Your supposed to want to chat with them daily and initiate the affection and flirting. Your supposed to want to hurry up and see them again. It was like that with my 2nd husband, I was giddy with excitement and it was like that with my ex, by the third date with my ex I was totally lost in him and wanted to be with him all the time. I compared all that to this lovely guy and it wasn't there... The actual spark with this guy has been a little lacklustre and my attitude has been just "meh". Why?

My boyfriend got up at me yesterday because one of my friends (who use to have feelings for me) was giving hugs. This is something me and this guy have always done. My boyfriend however said that it makes him uncomfortable when me and my friend hug and I had to talk to my friend today and tell him to stop hugging me to which he responded, "i don't care" and then hugged me again. Is my boyfriend just being overprotective? Is it okay to hug another person while in a relationship in your opinion?
