What do I base this statement (that men like it) on? Google "strong legs" or "muscular thighs" or something along the lines on this very forum, and look up the answers from guys.

And "somewhat young" means... I don't know, but my imagined line is below middle-aged men, but well above 30.

I suppose I don't have to ask about muscular butts. For example, a girl with ridiculously muscular thighs (too low bodyfat for my liking), who has no official fame like real models (i e she is only known within the fitness community), has 2,5 million followers on Instagram, and the only thing she has done to deserve that, is by having very musular thighs... and ofc by flexing them and showing them off... or well, obviously she has some other videos as well, but that's how she gained her fame and reputation. You could google "Bakhar Nabieva" to look her up. And while she is probably a bit too much for most men (she is not that large, so if she just ate herself a bit fatter, she would - perhaps - have a 10/10-body according to yougn men). And since she started using those black eye lenses... combined with her unnatural body (I base that fact on that she's developing a deeper voice) ... she enters the uncanny valley for me, and I love muscular/strong legs on girls, so she's not a good example of what I mean with the main question.

Now there are of course fitness models with more followers, with bodies that all men like.

And perhaps this thing with muscular girls is something in the West (+ south america) as almost all famous, muscular girls are from the West or SA. Ok perhaps my example with Russia does not count as "West". But I would prefer not to write "the part of the world where a majority is white".

So more recently, though I've usually been trying to ignore it for most of my life, I've been displaying an interest in girls.

I've always liked girls... cute faces, soft skin, longer hair, cute giggles/laughs, softer voices than guys, etc... and more recently, I actually want a girl I can physically be with and have fun with, rather than just an image of my head, of me having a theoretical imaginary girlfriend.

And I was talking this through with my friends... a group of 5. And one of them said, "Well you're not getting a girlfriend with those short ass shorty shorts!" And just slapped my knee. Then the other 3 agreed and nodded. And from then, I just joked about it and took it cool, "What? You jealous you all don't have muscular legs like me, chicken legs?"

But it got me thinking...do most girls actually care?

In that scenario my friends were most likely just joking around, but do girls care?

Most of my shorts are the length as shown in the above photo, about 7 inch inseam.

Then for swimming trunks... those are only like 2 inch, but they're for swimming anyways. How else am I supposed to feel the warm sunlight and cool water on my skin?

The 7 inch inseam shorts are usually about a hand or two above my knee, and sometimes rise up to my lower thighs as I sit... but I never really cared.

But then again, I grew up with 3 slightly older sisters, and despite being older than me, since because I guess they were girls, they worse shorts like this.

So in comparison, I actually thought my shorts were really long. I even asked my parents for shorter shorts like theirs so I don't stick out so much, but they said boys don't wear shorts that short.

But in comparison to other guys... it seems like my shorts are ridiculously short, and I don't want to come off as a joke in front of girls I want to impress.
