I’ve began noticing a trend. Mentally, little girls and women in their teens and early 20’s aren’t all that different. Except older women usually have some kind of trauma by the age of 20 that if anything changes them a tiny bit.

I find this a little fascinating. I have a big family and at a time was a psychology major and worked in a child development center and actively paid attention to the psychological development of the kids in the center as my job.

It was a fascinating thing to do. And I still sometimes find myself curious and observing people in daily life as I go about my day — people watching, and being observant.

Has this been your experience as well? It’s almost as if most college girls end up with a ‘wtf world?’ Expression and demeanor sometime around the beginning of their twenties. And definitely by their 30’s where I think real maturity happens.

Anyway. Since I had the chance to ask on this site I wondered whether that was true or not in your opinion.

Self-explanatory. 3.5 year difference. She's really pretty, and my type looks-wise, but just taking into consideration maturity and how out of place would it be for the both of us... Give me thoughts and guidance!

P. S. We were at the same high school, I know a few of her friends group as well.

So normally my whole life it’s either very little stubble that’s 2 days old or clean shaven every day, mostly the latter. She knew me as that.

Then i decided to let my beard out for once because I want it to symbolise maturity and masculinity. Not like that but I just felt like a more mature person. It is well groomed and trimmed to even length, not like an untidy one.

She just stopped talking and i and I confronted her and she said I grew a beard so we should not talk anymore.

Is this not really shallow? If you like someone why does the beard really matter? Also, it’s not like she ever discussed it.

i asked the obvious which was to be honest and just say the real reason why she stopped talking to me as that’s not a real believable excuse and she said she was serious.

Not sad sad at all. Just weirded out.
