This new guy at my school is very shy and doesn't talk to many people yet but he is still well liked. I have a lot of classes with him and he is always staring at me. I like this guy and I told my best friend to look for evidence that he likes me. The evidence is good but for some reason I don't have enough self confidence to believe it. Because how could the guy I like, like me back? Anyways I want to share some things that my friend told me so you guys can tell me if he likes me and get into his mindset. In English class when he or the teacher makes a joke, his quickly looks at me and we make eye contact for a while. One time he was looking at me for so long (I didn't see) that the teacher had to get his attention and say his name a couple of times. He always puts his head down and puts his hands on his foreheads like he is blocking the sun and he looks at me. One time when we were talking, and we dont talk much, I caught him staring at my boobs. Lastly, the title story (one of my favorite insatnces!!! So during science he was sitting at the end of one table and I was behing him. He purposely dropped his pencel and when he was on the ground he stayed there for a few seconds and maybe looked up my skirt. (i go to a private school and the skirts are dress code.) I have never looked at him back because I am too scared. I dont know how to show him that I like him back conservatively and just give him a confidence boost and see if he feeds off of that. Could you guys also give me more info on how he thinks of me.

So my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 5 months. We're pretty open with how we're feeling but sometimes he makes me feel like I shouldn't feel the way I do. This is the current situation. It's my 18th birthday in 3 days and we had made plans to celebrate my birthday on the 19th of December. I requested off work that day and planned my outfit already since we were going somewhere fancy. He called me tonight and said why don't we just go out to dinner tomorrow night. I work from 1-6 pm and he won't be down where I live until 7 pm. I wanted to spend the day with him that Saturday and go to my favorite restaurant with my favorite guy. Now he wants me to just pick a different place and go out tomorrow after I get off of work. I really don't want to do that because I'm usually tired after getting off work but the problem is he has been having some problems with his mom lately and I feel like he takes some of his frustration out on me. Like he'll say something I said was dumb or he'll tell me to shut up. It hurts my feelings but then he says he was just joking and that I shouldn't take everything so seriously.

Do I have a right to be upset or not?

Sorry this was long I just don't know what to do.
