We met online and hit it off big. Lots of chemistry and best of all we grew very emotionally close very soon. We can talk about everything and anything. Texting each other all through the day and even all night sometimes. When one of us is upset we tell each other everything and help each other.

He has helped me with some family issues. I help him with his goal to quit chewing tabacco and to loose weight, but being his cheer team and even going on the diet too. We

help each other with whatever is bothering us.

We live 150 miles apart. So texting helps file the gap. Over 8000 last month ( good thing we both have unlimited plan! Lol).

He not just a romantic interest, he is my best friend!

He was going to move here, but can't leave his kids right now. He says things may change in 6 months but not sure.

I must stay where I am because I am sole caregiver for my 80 year old mother who needs lots of care and can be very demanding at times and well as controlling.

He broke up with me last night and asked to stay friends ( I agreed). But this morning we ended up back together, just back at square one. Start all over again. Best friends now and see if we can find a way to be together some day.

I told him this may be a good thing because it allows us both time to work on our own issues before entering that ultimate commitment. I need to are for my mother and learn how to stand up to her at her same time ( I've been working on this and making progress. He has really been there for me during all this).

He has major fears of getting hurt again and needs to heal more before being in a committed relationship ( I've been trying to be very supportive in this and he is make great strides).

but the question becomes how long can we wait?

Frankly, I love him I feel as long as I know there is a chance, I will wait for him always.

I haven't said the "Love" part because we agreed to go slow and not say things like that too soon. But I think he knows how I feel ( he's said as much but uses the term " Deep affection"). I have told him I'm not going anywhere, I will wait for him no matter how long it takes for things to be right, because he is worth it to me. I have no desire to see anyone else.

I told him he needs to ask himself if he can wait too. As he is not always a patient person and wants somethings now.

we don't know how long it may be. It could be 3 months, a year, 5 years or even 10.

it depends if he can work out some kind of better custody agreement with his ex, or if she ends up moving the kids all together.

those are the main things effecting if he could move here.

The main thing holding me here is my mother who must have my care ( long story). She is 80, her years are limited. I need to help make those years as comfortable as possible. Once she is gone, I would be free to move elsewhere.

so here we sit, at a stand still. Can we hang in there not knowing how long?
