A few months ago, I guys I knew for 4 years asked me out and said he wanted to date me for 5 years and then see what happens. I told him no because I was not ready to be in a relationship and I wasn't not sure about his intentions. He is from Afghanistan and his parents are very traditional and believe in arranged marriages. I am a different race then him and he mentioned how angry his parents would be if he dated outside of his race.

He seem to be not wanting to go against what his parents wanted. So, I was wondering if I was right for rejecting him and was he just going to use me for citizenship and to help him better himself for another woman? Or was he serious about me and should I give him another chance?

I am friends with this guy, he is super smart, popular, and sophisticated. But he still cares for me and I AM VERY EMOTIONAL and he's well not. He talks with the whole school while I always hanging out with like 3 people. Yet, He highlights every long paragraph I wrote ranting my life problems and he would hope I have better days. He notices if I leave him on read. I did it like 3 times and he noticed it every time and confront me about it. He read all the crap I write on my private story and sometimes swipe up. In fact one time, he swiped up when I was getting ready for a date and asked: "Who are you dating?". He has been through my rough time where I took all my anger out on him saying I hate him. He did distant a little (I don't blame him) but still, consider me his friend. Most people would have left completely but he said he's sticking around. He told me he always there for me when I need him. We haven't been talking recently so I always catch him staring at me when I am laughing and goofing around with my friends or look at me when he laughing with his friends. He never approaches me just look at me a lot when he thinks I am not paying attention and act really friendly. Like smile and say hey in the hallways. He would tell me not to cry when he sees me cry or ignores it completely what I mean by that is I can see that he notices and wonder why I am crying but look away when I look at him.
