A woman in West Virginia who gained national attention after she told police she pulled a gun on a man who was allegedly trying to kidnap her 5-year-old daughter at the mall has now recanted her story, with a witness telling police that the situation may have been a “cultural misunderstanding.”

The woman was with her daughter in an Old Navy store at Huntington Mall in Barboursville, W. Va. when a Middle Eastern man approached them, she alleged on Monday. After pointing a firearm at the man, she called 911 and mall security, who arrested the suspect, according to Fox 8 Cleveland.

At the time, the unidentified woman was hailed by many as a hero, and even drew the attention of National Rifle Association (NRA) spokeswoman Dana Loesch, who praised her on Twitter.

But on Tuesday, the mom took the story back, admitting she fabricated parts of it. Now, police are saying the altercation was a “cultural misunderstanding,” and that Zayan was affectionately patting the little girl on the head. Though the charges have not been dropped, Zayan was released on reduced bond — the original was $200,000 — and still faces a battery charge.

This will eventually cause major environmental harm not only to the US, but to the planet as a whole since Americans and American immigrants consume more and produce more waste. It also forces American workers into increased competition.

One of the arguments in favor of not cutting immigration is it will help maintain social services, although CUTTING immigration will not destroy programs like Social security and Medicare, It will create a smaller pool of tax funding for them.
