If you had an option between traditional marriage (dating and eventually getting married by choice) or an arranged marriage, which would you choose and why?

I have met people who know they will marry without even having met anyone they want to marry... Which i am surprised by.

I wonder, would anyone just marry regardless of their feelings? (Kind of like you know you will go to university before knowing which, and you can end up going to one you do not want.)

I guess its not that out there, I mean arranged marriages are basically that way. Though its different if you had loved and wanted to marry for love, and end up with like or tolerate.

I suppose all or most of the people who did not marry COULD have, just not necessarily anyone they want.

So, in the recent times, me and my family have considered to choose arranged marriage for me.

To those, who don't know : Arranged marriage is where your parents bring the most matching eligible candidates for you and you get to know about this candidate. If you both think you're mutually compatible, then families from both sides will arrange the marriage ceremony.

So, I want to know if this would work out? Has anyone of you been in an arranged marriage? How does it work? Did it last? Are you happy? Please let me know.
