the more I know America, the more it is obvious that those out there who think usa is a land of automoton zombies out to plague the earth are wrong. I think what the death cult zombies miss is that America is neither an atheist society nor a christian one. watch TV shows and talk to American people and its plain to see. it unites democrats and republicans and idealists and cynics. the rest of the world has its thing, be it religion or tradition. lineage and history or cultures and antiquated ways. looking at America I believe what unites this young country is something almost tangiable. whether you call this freedom, or the American dream, the new, or even just look at it as people existing with no clear way...the fact remains...the world is bogged down in 2000 years of culture. americas is new and with no clear way. this can be deemed as confusion, or propensity to ignorance. it can be looked at as nativity or even as a clash. and to some extent these things all exist. but the thing about America that really makes it so is its a story without an ending. a story that is still being written freely. not another chapter to a book that lost its meaning a long time ago or even just one that is already written in stone. if I had to find one thing to love about america, this sense of freedom is what defines it for me. from malcolm x to ronald reagan and everything in between.

i believe america is a faith based society and tangiably so.

this ain't a bad thing. and it ain't even necessarily a religious one. its the american way. and its what makes it so beautiful,
