I'm 23 years old. I moved back into my dad's place 8 months ago because my ex and I had a place together. Well, It didn't work out. My dad took me in and I'm forever grateful. He's a disabled Veteran that suffers from severe depression and he has other major health problems to where he's in the hospital from time to time. I've always been there for him and even stayed overnight in the hospital with him. I even got an accommodation for him at my job to where if he's in the hospital I can miss work but it won't count against me. He doesn't qualify for a caregiver so I take care of him when he's sick. I've been paying my share of bills, getting food and doing my share of chores so that I won't be laying around doing nothing after work and on my days off. I've been battling with severe PTSD due to many factors. Lately, I've been depressed because I don't get out much (besides work and the gym) so my therapist suggested I start getting out more and hanging out with friends. I brought this up with my dad and he said it was a great idea. So last Saturday, I went out with a friend. I told my dad about it. I honestly didn't know when I was coming home because my friend had many plans for us. My dad got furious and argued with me for a whole hour prior to me going out. He basically said that I didn't care about him and I can't be doing what I want. The thing is... I HARDLY go out with friends and I even asked him beforehand (even though I'm over 18) & he gave me permission. Last night, I went over to a friends house to watch some movies with her and a few other friends. I told my dad that I would be back no later than 10pm. Traffic got hectic due to a few accidents. I text him that I was going to be late. So now he's giving me the silent treatment. With my job

If you were in a perfect relationship for a year and you broke up for a stupid reason which was both’s fault. It ended badly as you told him to leave and get an early flight.

After he went home you both regret it and still talked for 3 days about how we’re going to be better next time. After he got quiet, his parents pressured on him and he called it off slowly.

You blocked him because you were hurt even though he asked you not to. He was stressed. After a few months you unblocked him and sent friend request and a message but got nothing in return. He never blocked you, he still follows you on certain app.

What should I do? Should I give it a longer time before coming back or should I just let him reach out now that he knows he’s unblocked. He is a very shy guy, he has trouble getting girls and is very emotional. It took him a year to get over his previous ex.

Ps: we were really attached to each other.
