Long story short, I met this guy through my new best friend, he's really nice. I have been trying to talk to him and bring him out of his shell for the past few months as he is extremtly shy around girls. He is a bad texter, he ends convo's randomly and uses short words to everyone including me.

My friend asked him if he liked me a few months ago. he said he still needs to get to know me more (fair enough). it's been 4 months. We have tried meeting up just the 2 of us but he keeps cancelling. He did however come over to my best friends house when I invited him to come join us to see his reaction.

2 days ago we hung out alone at his house... It was cool we just watched movies, talked and played games.

My close guy friend that night convinced me to let him message this guys and ask him what he thought of the day. He said that we were just hanging out 'and it's not like that.' Yesterday this close guy friend also convined me to tell him that I like him.

He responced the message saying that he doesn't know how i feel about him (I like him). but thinks that we should go on a date and see how it goes. HOWEVER!!

I found out that after I confessed my feelings. He messaged my close guy friend freaking out as he didn't know what to say. He also messaged my best friend. My close guy friend told him to ask me out. ( indirectly a trail date)

Did he just feel pressured to ask me out. He did it too casaully and effortlessly to seem like he really meant it (instant messaging)

So anyways. I met this guy at school and we attend the same club, other than that we see each other in the hallway. So one day, I told my friend I though he was cute because I had been thinking about him like that a few days before. Later that day, she told him I liked him - but I wasn't sure, I just had to say it to someone, so I said it, I didn't think she would tell him that. He told her he liked me.

After that, he asked me out a few times, and I called him out once, but that was the first time we went out - I wanted to see what he's like. Turns out he's cool and everything. (It all started less than two months ago, but we knew each other maybe two months longer than that.)

So a few days ago, my friend (the one that told him about my "crush" on him) told me he was planning to ask me to be his girlfriend on out date. (But let me just make it clear - we have only been talking on our dates, nothing touchy ever happened in between us)

And he did. I was thinking whether to go or not, but he told me he payed tickets for a small concert and I felt bad if I were to cancel it just like that. So I went with him. And he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said "Yeah", well.. actually I just nodded and whispered a quiet "yes", but I also asked him to sit down with me and I told him I am not ready for a relationship because I am really not. I don't even think I like him like that anymore. I mean, I did say "a crush".

I told him 'no for now, give me some time' because he just couldn't embrace the fact that I said I'm not ready for a relationship. I am kind of tomboy, more than kind of, actually, and I keep on thinking would I want to be with him. I thought about what people do in relationships with what I'm not really familiar and I thought about holding hands, kissing or hugging. But I don't want to do that with him. I mean, I just don't think I like him that way. But I don't know if I'm just too scared so my feelings went like this...

On our first date he act very sweet like holding my hands, and messing my hair, he also keep moving my hand to hold onto his belly and hug him from behind when we were on motorcycle ride.
He talked sweet and we even asked me if I would like to meet him again sometime. Although, when we were having dinner, he mentioned to me that he is quite busy with his job, his last relationship was also ended because of he barely have the time for his ex.

After he ride me home he text me thank you and Good night, to be honest he is a slow texter, it tooks about half hour or so which makes me wonder if he is even interested in me.
The next day, he didn't text me at all but after in the evening I initiates to text him first, he said sorry for not texting or call, he said he was very busy at work. He also said that he will be out of town for Tuesday till Sunday, which means Our next date this week end will be canceled.
I wonder if he is actually busy or he is just trying to get rid of me?
But why? What went wrong? Because I thought we had a nice date, and he was very touchy and flirty.
Would guys be touchy and flirty without feeling attracted?

My friend had a date with a guy and he canceled twenty minutes before the official date time, he said his sister that he hadn't seen in a while is in town from another state and he made plans with her. Is this a good excuse? I call bullshit and say she shouldn't waste her time on him.
