What do you think? Do you 'believe' in eating disorders? Do you count them as real mental disorders, or do you think people who struggle with them are just faking it for attention? And do you believe that the (mostly) girls could just cure themselves by eating?

Does being emo, depressed, suicidal, etc. make us different? Why?
My best friend confessed to her long time crush, who after lying and calling her the most beautiful girl in the world, told her she was a suicidal and emo little b*tch who wasn't worth his time. The problem is that she believes him and now self harms purposefully (it used to be a subconcious action) because of him.
I'm proudly emo and depressed and suicidal with anorexia and bipolarity as the cherry on top of the ice cream (sarcasm intended), and I'm just wondering, does this make us different and make us less..."date-able"?

Obviously this sort of thing can be very dangerous to those suffering from anorexia--on the verge of relapse, perhaps--and those who teeter on the brink of developing the disorder. So should pro ana sites be banned? Or should these people be able to publish whatever they want, seeing as it's the internet?
