Me and my boyfriend are doing quite well in our relationship right now despite our ups and downs..
We have been together for over 1 year now
So anyway, me and my family are close.
Im quite close to my parents and very close to my brothers.
However, my boyfriend is the opposite.
He is not close to any of his family members.
Not even his parents, brother.
He kind of hates them all
Except for his grandparents
This is because:
- his parents gave him up to his grandparents when he was 5 years old because they had him young and couldnt afford a baby and their parents are more wealthy
- his mum gave birth to his younger brother and they cherished him more than my boyfriend
- his grandparents fed him and raised him (so he respects and loves them)
- when his parents took him in when he's 13, he saw the domestic violence in the house. His dad beats his mother everyday and she does everything for his dad.
- his mother would never do anything to stop his dad from beating him
- his dad would never beat his younger brother though
- One day, my boyfriend stood up for his mother when his dad was beating her up and his dad got angry and kicked him out of the house when he was 18 and ever since then, he has always lived by himself and went through hell (so he had to live with his parents for 5 years)
- His uncles and aunties say shit about him and they dont offer much help when he ask them for some help with things
But right now he's doing quite good for himself (hes 27 now)
I understand his circumstances and why he would hate his family so much
But me and my family are close
Should i be worried for our future or?
I mean i see all these couples and their families are very close to one another...

Marvin is 21 years old. His boyfriend Shawn is 22. Marvin is shy and quiet. Shawn likes to tease him. Shawn tells Marvin that there's guys out there that look much better than him, who are smarter and have bigger butts. Marvin says nothing but bites his lip in anger. Shawn grabs Marvin's sides and tells him he's gaining weight. Shawn would also flirt with other dudes. When Marvin found Shawn's phone shawn pushed Marvin. Marvin punched Shawn in the face and kicked his leg. Shawn kicks Marvin in the groin and he starts crying. Shawn says sorry. The next day they argue and Marvin throws pots, pans, and screams at Shawn. Shawn threatened to send pictures of them cuddling at school and Marvin had a strong urge to jump on top of Shawn's head and pull his hair as hard as he could.
