This guy kept pushing me away and hurt me pretty bad. I told him I had feelings for him and he kept telling me I was "obviously infatuated" with him, that he was just the first guy I had really gotten to know, I only liked him because he reminded me of someone else, etc... basically he refused to believe me, kept dismissing my feelings andmaking excuses for why I "really" liked him. He even said he wasn't attracted to me at one point... After I started moving on and I noticed he looked really upset/angry and after he kept making passive/aggressing comments I confronted his best guy friend and found out he really cared about me, had cared about me the entire time but his insecurities kept him from believing "a girl like me" could really like "a guy like him"- whatever that means- and after having been cheated on and hurt by his last girl friend, he was afraid to get hurt again by giving me a chance- but now that he's realizing he's about to lose me, he realized how wrong he was and wants to make amends if I give him the chance. I want to believe his guy friend is telling the truth and give him a second chance, but I'm afraid of getting pushed away and hurt again...

So far in my life, I've only like 2 guys. The 1st stared, flirted, then got himself a gf. The 2nd stared, flirted while having a gf (I found that out later). With the 1st we bonded a bit. We were similar, maybe a little bit of the same interests. Even though the connection forming, our personalities didn't go good together. But yet I kept chasing after him. He led me on. Stopped staring and flirting and got himself a gf. The 2nd just a texting buddy. I thought it was a real connection.

I'm 17. A senior in highschool in Sept. Never had a boyfriend. But I realized that those guys and I were different. I thought they were good looking and saw a few parts of their personality and started making assumptions. One was happy and warm, another sensitive and intellectual... that's one of the few things I know about them. I thought they were perfect. I was obsessed. Infatuated. But then I realized that I was never in love.

But I want to be. I know I'm not ready to start dating. I haven't grown much internally to do so. But I want to. I yearn for a strong personal connection. I feel like I'm waiting for him even though I'm scared the same thing will happen all over again.

(And I fear that guys will only be attracted to me when my hair is nice :/)

I was ecstatic when I became friends with a stud of our school, litteraly like my manna from heaven... he even took me out a couple of times, though he never expressed any feelings until after some months he started to really compliment and flirt and take an open interest in me. They were the best days of my life and he was, is, perfect, he is charming, confident, sexy, good looking, just everything... until I asked him out, i just didn't want to let whatever this feeling was between us, go. He rejected, saying he doesn't do dates anymore, so I settled on friends with benefits ( yeah I was that crazy for him) we just went to second base and it was so passion filled I miss it till date. One month later he left me for a bestie of his who recently broke up with her bf, i was crushed and we had a fight over something else also and we didn't text for a month. then suddenly he did and I knew why- his bestie dumped him two times and he was seeking solace and I was such a pathetic despo I went, I even hinted if he wanted to be friends with benefits I was ready...( yeah it was THAT good) but he was still hung on her and then I even dated an enemy of him to make him jealous but he doesn't budge. Now I have left dating and all for a while because I have to get into a new school and prepare for exams and dont want any distractions... I would be lying if I am over him completely. I don't know if I ever loved him, I think more of, infatuated coz he is a stud and all but yes some very real feelings were also involved. Everything reminds me of him, no matter how many times I think of something that happened between us, I smile, when I see him I still smile like an idiot, my bestie complains I talk about him all the time and sometimes I think we could have had it all, we would have been happy, and what went wrong. I hope in my new school (if I get in) I will get another better person but till then... what to do? Love is so beautifull but why does it make you so emotional?
