So, the grown ups have it all figured out. You can't be in love until you're older, because it's impossible. Us kids and teenagers don't understand love. We can't grasp that love is unconditional, sometimes unbearable, that sometimes it comes all at once and other times it comes slowly, with time.

We must not know why we cry so hard and so much when a family member or someone close to us dies, or sometimes we don't cry at all but just suffer in silence. But we do suffer.

I was raised to believe anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. Apparently everything except being in love with another person. We can be passionate in a religion but cannot be passionate with another person.

We can't understand what a broken heart is, or know that sometimes it's your family, even your own parents who break it. No, not until we reach a certain number can we grasp what it is to love another human being with everything, to commit our lives to them.

A child cannot love his or her mother, and the simple explanation is because they are too young, and they have time in their lives to love them later.

So obviously a young man and a young woman cannot really love each other.

And just so you know, no I am not in love with a man or boy, nor have I ever been. But it doesn't mean I don't understand it and I don't love, nor are capable of loving another person. I love a lot of people, I don't like a lot of people all the same, but I do believe I am capable to love another person, no matter the age.

So why do so many believe this is impossible? Why does no one have any faith any more? I really think it's they who say this is impossible, that do not really understand what love is.

Because the simple truth is, sometimes love isn't understandable, and you just can't help but have it.
