I've been in a relationship for almost 5 years in January. Since we did get serious and settled down pretty fast, (right out of high school in 2010), last week we came to a mutual understanding that maybe we should take a break from each other and actually enjoy our early adulthood. (he brought it up, but I felt like this once before and never spoke on it). We agreed to always keep in contact, to make sure each other was okay. We have no kids together, he's been there for me throughout my 4 years of university, and I've been there for him through just about everything, Well, after 2 days of our "break", I told him since he wants to enjoy his young adult hood, I would like to join the Navy. (Didn't decide on active duty or the reserves at that moment). He completely pushed me away! Like, left and went out with his friends. Now, today, he said he apologize and wanted me to take him back, and if I didn't he understood. I was still indecisive, I was unsure since I already started making independent moves after he disregarded my plans for the future. After talking a bit today, come to find out, the night he went out, he got drunk and had sex with some girl! But is still upset that me joining the service is still in the back of my mind. I told him we can work through it, but my trust is not fully there anymore. I mean, I know we weren't together during the break, but sheesh 3 days after he broke up with me, he pulls this stunt and expects me to take him back. He said he did it out of spite because I wanted to live off in the world and forget about him. We currently live together, but i was slowly moving out within those 3 days. I mean, I know we all make mistakes and no one is perfect, but it's a tough pill to swallow. What do you think? Work it out or throw 5 years down the drain?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for a year on Dec. 1st. We have a very good sense of trust in our relationship, and we're also doing long distance. Which is very very hard, and already causes us to fight a lot. I'm afraid I fucked up though. Friday night I hungout with my best friend, the guy she's talking to, & and then we also ended up hanging with his friend. We all got super drunk and took Xanax, but nothing happened between the friend and I except some harmless flirty comments that he said, of which I ignored all night. He knows my boyfriend because they graduated together, and knows I love him. So he never seriously tried anything. We all had harmless fun, & ended up staying the night at the guys house who my best friend is talking to. They slept in his bed, while the friend and I slept far away from eachother on the floor. My boyfriend was very angered by the fact that I ended up staying there in the first place, but I had no choice because I was drunk and couldn't drive home. in the morning I woke up and felt pretty lonely and was still pretty messed up, and stupidly agreed to cuddle with the guy. We cuddled for about 45 min in the morning before I sorta snapped out of it. & It was PG 13, as he never touched above or below my waist. I still feel pretty bad though, and am not sure if I want to tell my boyfriend. It really meant nothing, and never would've happened had I been sober and had I not felt so lonely in the morning. Which is no excuse, but I also don't want to ruin the trust I hold with my boyfriend over a stupid mistake that will never happen again. I love him a lot and we plan on marrying eachother one day, so I don't want something meaningless like this to jeopardize our relationship. What should I do? /:

My one year boyfriend made out with a girl at a party and then he got drunk and had sex with her. He said it was a mistake and he regrets it. He has been calling me a lot and he's been bringing flowers to my house. Should I break up with him? Would you break up with him if you were in my position?

Long story short: My friend threw a Halloween party ( I took care of the drunks as usual). She invited this guy I seen around before but did not know him. We talked for a bit but not long. A couple days after i get a fb request. Then a couple hrs after i get a message. Little werided out. We message back and forth. Convosations last until 12am sometime 1. Soon he asked to hang out. Fun but werid. He can tell that im angry about something or someone. He pesters me for days. We talk more after that day. Hangout more after that day. I start to trust him. I dont trust to many people. I tell him about the guy. he tells me about his mistakes. He's sweet, kind, caring, and respectful. I dont want a relationship after what happened a month ago but I dont know he's diffrent he makes me smile. The other day i was smiling no reason. people might have thought i was high. I forgot everything that made me mad. At the beginning i was spectical, right now im unsure of my feelings. I dont know if i am falling for him or what i am doing. Ps. I already told him im not ready for a relationship but I don't know now.
