When it comes to learning and speaking new languages, who gives you a hard time even if your accent is understandable and they know what you're saying?

I have a feeling is the French. Though I speak advanced French (my 3rd language) and can be understood, it's still with some accent. There are words I can pronounce it better than others.

If you're gonna move in to live there for some years, would you rely on an interpreter the whole time? Or would you practice the language?

I would be practicing and become very interested in learning more. One of the many reasons is because a call can be over with already if I spoke the language instead of 20+ mins long with an interpreter.

I would feel beyond embarrassed not understanding anything after living there for years. Shame on the immigrants being here in the USA for years (esp one in their 20's or not that old) and learning nothing; Mexicans being the most laziest and stubborn ones.

I have to learn French at any cost and an additional of any of these two languages that is Italian or Spanish. The choice is upto me. Can you tell me which one should I learn first out of these? French is no choice but the other two are. Can any one of these two languages help me in learning French? Also which language do you think I should learn first? And just for fun which language do you think is most similar to French? It doesn't have be Italian or Spanish but any language you think is. Thank you.
