I am planning on marrying my first girlfriend (not for a few years, but eventually) and wondered how many people others feel they would need to date before being confident enough to pull the trigger.

Homesteading is settling on a piece of land and making it 100% self-sufficient.
So it means raising your own animals, growing your own plants, and living off the land.
Obviously you would have loved ones with you to help out.
So your costs after the initial purchase of land, animals, crops, are extremely low, you get to eat organic healthy foods you grow yourself, and experience nature all the time.

The cons are, homesteads tend to be far from cities. Managing a homestead takes effort and work. Early nights and early mornings. Its also dirty work, building fences, chicken coups, feeding and cleaning animals (If you decide to not go vegan).


Would you be interested in homesteading?

A young user asked how is an average looking guy supposed to attract a woman because, according to him, all women want to date extremely handsome guys. Well, I know that I don't want to date someone who I think is ugly, but I have dated a lady who others told me was "homely" and I thought she was cute. But I also knew that she was not attractive in any objective way. I guess when guys look at the same woman, we see different things.

When you found your last SO, did you hold out for the hottest companion you could attract? "I'm not settling for anything less than 8/10!" Or did you find yourself attracted to someone who was average in appearance but a great person in other ways.

How important is that 8/10 to you?
