So there is this girl I am very interested in. We have hung out a few times and text often (about 50/50 on who texts first) I have taken her to dinner twice and have a big thing planned for next week. The other night after she got off work she came over to watch a movie, after dinner we started the movie and eventually started to cuddle. Later, I moved in and kissed her a couple times and then behaved myself the rest of the night. But we cuddled ALL night, not like just arm around her, but like, her laying on my chest with leg over mine and arm over me. The next day I had to work, but when i got off she invited me to her place and we talked while she made muffins. After all of that, I asked if she was interested in me (because I knew previously that she was kind of looking for friends but I didn't know if this changed anything) She said "idk I'm still not really looking to date or anything like that"... that sucks, but the big plan for next week is a concert but she has to work that day, so I told her that if it was going to be a problem then to not worry about it... she said "no, I really want to go with you, I'll figure something out, I promise" .. so to me that shows interest... but I can't really read her.. I get the tickets tomorrow and plan on getting her favorite flower for that day as a surprise. I don't want to try if she really isn't, but I don't NOT want to try if she is and I'm just dumb...

I met this girl at a college party a year ago. She approached me, said hi. We got chatting. We became pretty good friends, though mostly chatting online. However some things have happened that make me wonder.

She’s invited me out for lunch or breakfast so many times now. It’s always been just the two of us, apart from the first time, when her (non-single) female friend came along.

A few days before Valentine’s Day we were chatting online and she suddenly raised the subject and said things like “I wish I had a date for Valentine’s Day”, “I wish I had a boyfriend”. Her tone was more serious than usual. She also said “Maybe I should hire a date”. She gave me the link to a website she was looking at. I said, “Wow, they make a lot of money. Maybe I should do that job”. I was joking. But she said something like, “Maybe you should”.

Once she invited me to see a concert, just the two of us. When we met, I was stunned. She usually wears tomboyish clothes. That night she looked hot. She was wearing a tight, black dress that showed off her legs and boobs, and red lipstick (she never wears lip stuff). I must have stared, because she smiled sweetly and blushed. Why did she dress like that? She had been to other concerts in this series before (either alone or with a female friend). She knew that no one else would be dressed like that. It’s a casual occasion. And it’s not as if there would be any cute boys for her to show off to. It was all old and middle-aged people. Afterwards she was walking slowly along with me out of the building like she was expecting me to lead the way or have some kind of plan.

Recently she had her going-away party. I bought her a small gift. She said, “This is my favourite designer.” It’s that true, that’s one hell of a coincidence. It’s only a semi-major brand. Later that night, she was drunk. She said, “I’m going to miss you”, and though she’s tiny, she literally picked me up in a hug, and then we both crashed on the floor.
