I just moved into halls in university, I'm sharing a flat with 7 other people. They're all lovely, and very nice and inclusive, but I really don't fit in that much and end up being quiet and separate from the group. This is getting me down, and I'm starting to feel quite isolated/self-doubting. They are really lovely, but I think I'm just too shy or quiet, even though I do talk to them, I know I'm not close to any of them.

There is a guy in the same halls but in a different flat who wants to swap flats with someone, anyone. He is sharing with two 3rd year students who don't go out, and are too old / too much work to do the whole clubs experience associated with freshers and uni life.

He is very close to quite a few people in my flat, and I know they would be happy to have him as a roommate.

To be honest, I know I would feel more isolated over there, as there would be no one. But I wouldn't be doubting myself and feeling rubbish about not fitting in. I would also have to deal with explaining why I moved after a week, and I would be living in the same area as these people for a year minimum. It's not that I particularly want to move out, I just feel that everyone (including the rest of the flat) would be happier with this situation :/

Recently, I have gotten a lot closer to a friend of mine, and as we've gotten closer as friends I've realized I've developed feelings for him.

Nothing has happened between us, but I feel I have kind of blown my chances with this guy. A while ago at a party, we were getting closer and cuddling up, but he was kinda drunk and his ex was there, so I didn't kiss him. The next day he says he was just drunk and didn't mean it.

We are pretty close, and he's been telling me about this girl he's sort of started seeing (they've only known each other a couple weeks or so) He was telling me all this yesterday at a party, and then we all sat down to watch a film. I was sharing a sleeping bag with him and he starts getting cuddly (he isn't a very huggy person in general). He seemed a bit distant and moved away after a bit.

Seen as he had only really seemed interested when he's drunk, I'm worried that's all it is, and I'm worried it's just 'cause I'm "there". I really like him, and we get on really well together, but I don't know if I should tell him or not. It could make our friendship really awkward, and I don't want to lose that. And I feel I'm meddling in the start of a relationship that could be better for him. At the same time, if I don't say anything I would probably regret it later. So what do I do?
