Right now, perhaps one of our best Senators (because she's actually trying hard to help the average person), is pushing a bill to help students. A bill to push student interest rates to be as low as the banks get when they loan money from the government. That is, they get 0.75% interest. I'd urge everyone to at least watch the video of her proposing the bill, every fact she listens is true.

For example: every dollar spent on students by the government gives a 36 cents PROFIT for the government in the long term. That's pretty big for anyone who thinks we can't afford it. And why shouldn't the students who are trying to better themselves and be better workers in the future have to pay up to nearly 7% interest as the interest rates are about to double. Showing that student debt is already a huge roadblock to millions to improving their lives. To up the interest rate only will make it worse and crush all those who had to take out loans to try and get an education (basically everyone but the rich).

I'd also like to point out, that why banks can borrow 0.75% interest rate from the US government, they have it rigged where they buy US bonds at an interest rate return of 3.878%. That's right, they can take out loans from the US government and then GIVE THAT MONEY BACK TO THE US GOVERNMENT FOR A HIGHER INTEREST RATE! And you wonder why they are so profitable or seem like good businessmen? It's because they rig the system in their favor. And no, the people can't do the same thing as them, only banks get that low interest rate of 0.75% while being able to give the fed money at a 3.878% interest rate.

So are you for Elizabeth Warren's bill to help our students? Or are you against it? If you're against it, are you at least against the banks getting so low an interest rate too or are you for them getting so low an interest rate? Why or why not. And keep in mind to at least watch the video first and learn the facts she points out before you state anything like "banks getting a low interest rate is good for the economy" because, eh.. not always.
