I'm an average height guy who likes tall women. I understand that some can't get over the height differennce, and I still want to put my preference in my dating profile or tell a date that sometime if they feel bad about their height. Also, if they're around my height or taller and go out with me, that tells me they have confidence and aren't bothered by the height difference. I still pay attention to who they are as a person, but I figure if I compliment them on their stature, they may feel fetishized.

I've been called hurtful things before for stating other preferences in conversation with people, like how I want someone who takes care of themselves. I'm by no means the hottest guy in the world, but my ideal partner doesn't fit society's standards, so I might fit someone elses, too. I'm never mean to anyone for their looks, but feel I can't be honest with a woman if that's why I reject them because it could hurt their feelings.

What do you think?

A) I don't care about height whatsoever. I would be equally attracted to a man shorter than me, same height, or taller than me (if all else was the same).

B) He must be taller than me, but I don't care *how much* taller. I would be equally attracted to a man 1 inch taller than me, and a man 10 inches taller than me (if all else was the same).

C) I'll date him as long as he's taller than me, but I do admit. . . "the taller, the better".

D) 6'0+ or GTFO

E) I would actually prefer a man same height or shorter than me.

I'm a young guy and haven't dated yet. I have always been taller side and I like it. I have never felt like too tall and it's really common in my family. I know that the height is not too big factor on people's appearance and the appearance ain't the whole picture, but I'm interested to know that would girls prefer tall guys. I have an image that majority of girls like taller guys than the average male height (5'10ft?) but I'm not sure that am I too tall in the dating aspect.
