Search Results: meeting new people relationship

It's been 3 years since we broke up. All of a sudden I felt an urge to see my ex even though we haven't had a chat for more than a year.

I wouldn't say we ended our relationship on friendly terms and it wasn't that easy, especially for me. Our relationship was like a roller coaster with ups and downs interchanging roughly about every 2 months. I've come across her profile on Facebook while I was browsing a public page and it turned out we both liked it. It is when I clicked on her that I saw her new photos and it is there that I suddenly felt that urge.

On the other hand, as a reasonable guy, I'm starting to think the idea of calling her and asking her out might be the dumbest idea to ever come to my mind.

Some more details.

1) I haven't been in a relationship since we broke up as I've been focused on my studies and job which is why I didn't really have time for a girlfriend. Presumably, she's had some, at least one. The same about having sex.

2) She's studying to be a software developer and I need some geeky tech people for one of my future projects. So far, she's the only one I've known in the industry and since it's not mine I need to outsource some of the parts of the project to software developers like her. Might be a reason for meeting up.

The reason why I'm asking this question is that I can't hold the emotions inside me (neither should I) and I really need your advice, people. What do you think?

If anybody's been in the same situation, please share your experience. I find I can't focus on my current work because of thoughts like those.

I am sure all of us are on Facebook..(well almost)...I am just intrigued as to how did all of us land up here, here in India this social networking site is known to very few. I first landed up here when I Googled a relationship based question...& didn't really pay any heed to it.

The 2nd time I did this I was like.."Wait! this is something interesting !' and within 5 minutes I was asking and answering questions...and have been doing so since then :-P . Meeting new people too makes this a fun thing.
