Why is it, that in mostly every other culture in the world, wide hips, a thicker figure (not fat, just a bit fuller) is considered to be good, healthy and attractive, but in places like Britain and any Asian culture (besides Indian) its not?

I'm not saying, women should be like fat and stuff, but we all know the "mama hips" thing and how they can probably carry better, not saying thin women are less capable of handling pregnancies and such.

I'm just a bit curious as to why such things are so different, just curious is all.

My ex is also the father of my unborn child. Well we split up recently cuz he strangled me and my son stopped moving. I took off and got help. And now im getting a restraining order against him. Our court date is coming up fast. He wants to have rights to his son. I know as a father he has rights but im fighting for child custody after he's born. But he wants us to only talk when it comes to our son and be friends. I can't do that cuz he hurt me a lot. Im already going to court with him. He even told me he wants to be there for the birth but i dont think he deserves that right. Am i wrong? Am i wrong to keep my son away from his dad when his dad hurt us physically during this pregnancy? What should i do?

My friend is pregnant by a guy she's known for 7 years, but has been with for 8-9 months.

Backstory: She was engaged to a different guy last March 2018. Her ex-fiance was with her for 8 1/2 years before they finally got engaged. Then he left her in October 2018. A week later, she was with new guy who is now baby daddy. Neither of them have other kids. I believe she's 2-3 months along.

I always believed in waiting until marriage to have kids. I don't necessarily think that will make a marriage last, but as a teacher, I see a lot of students have kids when they aren't ready, or I know parents who have kids (my students) with someone they thought they loved but several years later find out they actually hate them with a fire red regardless of age. It's great fun being in the middle of that and hear parents trash each other [sarcasm]. I teach 7th/8th graders.

I'm not necessarily jumping at the chance to have kids so I kept my opinion of her pregnancy to myself. But I think it's a topic that's not really discussed a lot in relationships so I decided to ask it here.

How long should you be with someone before having a child with them?
