Looking for opinions on something that has actually been testing my relationship apart.. I'm a 23 year old male and have been in a relationship for 9 months known her in total for a year and I think the absolute world of her, would never do anything to harm her, and I have no interest in cheating flirting with other or anything. It's my birthday in a months time and want to do the usual of going out with my friends and work colleagues who I very rarely see because I spend every single day when I'm not at work with my partner.. I want to go out in the town centre with all of my male friends and just have a drink and go to the odd bar and what not. However she is adamant that if I go "clubbing" i am bound to cheat on her (she admits she has trust issues with anyone) she thinks it is unacceptable to go out to a club or around town drinking while you have a girlfriend, I have explained that all of my friends are also either married or in relationships (they are mostly older than me) but she still doesn't see that it's okay. She sees that it is a complete injustice to her, and yesterday I told her I want to go out for my birthday and it has basically come to her saying if I go out "clubbing" we are finished. This upsets me because I know I would never do anything to hurt her but I feel like I am having to chose between her and my friends which is a situation I would rather not be in! Further more we have just brought a puppy together as we both love animals and he's our little baby, and I keep being told we have to sort out what were doing with him (he lives at her house where I spend most of my time also) I just would like to know your opinions if it is acceptable to go out drinking with you male only friends if you're in a relationship (as most of my friends manage this and have very healthy relationships with no cheating or disrespect towards their other halves)
