Search Results: harder to approach when you really like her

Ok, some back story. There is this coworker that I like but I wasn't sure if she felt the same about me. Sometimes she would come into my room or stand outside her room so she would see me (we're both teachers).

I don't know if she has a boyfriend, but she has never mentioned it.

She's very confident and I think she's pretty, but you know... I think she may be out of my league since I'm a scrawny 5'11" guy (ok, 5'11.5"!!!).

We've never had conversations that lasted but she's complimented me on my attire and I remember she sat next to me in this meeting (this actually terrified me, but in a good way... she'll never know how fast my heart was beating) when she could've sat somewhere else.

I didn't really approach her because I'm always afraid of rejection and what not. The last time I interacted with her was when I complimented her shiny silver knee high boots. I don't know if that scared her off because maybe I'm thinking... maybe she just didn't like me at all and was just being nice.

And because of that, I think she's been purposeful to avoid me. She hasn't come into my room anymore and has not really stood outside her door between bells like she normally did.

I'm guessing I blew my chance at her and I just literally can't stop thinking about her. It's the first, middle, and last thing I think about each day.

It's so difficult to concentrate on my work! I'm trying really hard to not think about her just for my own sanity. It's annoying because I'm trying to concentrate but she is all I think about... I stay at work late just because I've been less efficient.

I think to myself "What if" I had approached her more often. I think that's the thing that's bugging me, the "WHAT IF?".

Any advice would be great and I'll thumbs up and MHO to someone!

Seriously, I wish I was born as a girl. I'm not transgender, but I think I'd enjoy my life so much more if I was a woman.

As a woman I could just sit back and relax as guys approached me, and I'd get to PICK which one I want. Furthermore, all the ones that I'd reject would become friends and stroke my ego. It would be so gratifying and relaxing.

Now I know that ladies have it really hard in other areas in life. Like jobs, childbirth, and other aspects of life. Both genders have issues so it kind balances out. But the one area of life that guys are ROYALLY fucked in: is dating. I strongly think that flirting, dating, and romance would be a cakewalk if I was a woman.

I hope I'm not being sexist, if I am I'll own up to it and apologize :(
