My friend said that even though there was enough love given at home, sometimes he feels his father overdid with the spanking and other time overly spoiled him. He would go from abusive to too nice at times. When he was little, his father would spank him in anger for not getting his math homework correct, not fighting back when someone shoved him at school once (so next time, he punched the heck out of his bully, making his father proud) or accidentally losing an expensive bracelet his aunt gave him.

However, when he was 6 and threw a tantrum when his parents couldn't find him his favorite toy, the father drove from store to store... even going far from home to find that toy. He found it at a store very far away just so his son could stop crying. He also received 15-10 gifts on every single Christmas, even when he misbehaved and once got caught stealing. He only liked expensive Skechers shoe brand and his father bought whatever shoe he wanted.
