I'm meeting my boyfriends family this sundayfor the first time, and he has 6 smaller cousins and siblings (less than 12 years old). While their parents were out I was thinking we could make homemade pizzas and a cake, instead of ordering a pizza. I don't know if it will get too hectic with 6 children or too messy but I think it could be a good "bonding" experience for us.

Alright, so I've been having a hard time with my feelings lately with my boyfriend. We've been together for a little over a year now and it's been long distance... we haven't actually met in person yet, but I've seen/talked/spent HOURS with him everyday for a year and a half now. (We're planning on meeting in December) I love him a lot but I struggle sometimes because some say I should find someone "better?" Like, he tells me too that I "deserve someone better than him" but at the same time I love and care for him deeply and don't want to "abandon" him. But he's got problems. Basically...

1) He's the oldest of 9 kids and his parents recently split. Due to this he had to miss a lot of school to help his mom take care of their 5 year old twins and this pretty much caused him to be held back a year because he didn't have time to study properly due to his family fighting and needing his help. (So 3 years until he's done with school and we could possibly be together)
2) Due to the poor family household, and being shy he also has mental problems (Depression, Paranoia, Low-Self Esteem, and another thing that's a result of his childhood neglect/bullying)

I feel guilty because I feel like I put too much pressure on him sometimes being older and done with school already and starting my career. And my parents don't approve and think I'm stupid for "wasting my time with him." But I really care for him and don't want him to be alone. I know he's capable of being successful, he just has a really hard life. I don't want to leave him either because he needs me for emotional support.

But everyone seems to tell me to "find someone else/don't wait for him" (except friends, they're like "If you're happy be with him") so I don't know what to do? I love him, and could see a future with him, but it would take about 5-7 years until we can live together and get married...

For age reference, I'm 23 and he's 19.

Should I "find someone better?" Or is it OK to wait?

Okay so I hated the idea of meeting my boyfriends family because I have major trust issues because of my own family. But because I was pregnant I was kind of pressured in to rushing things because of my boyfriend. I wanted to get closer to him before I meet his family. We had our baby and now there are major issues in our relationship. He's being angry and snapping out , we have trust issues, I'm almost certain I'm being abused at this point. I have no idea what he has told his family about me. I'm I have a rough past and I'm dealing with mental health issues. He broke up with me and I find out that his sister is telling him that he shouldn't leave our son with me and he should call the cops to supervise things because of MY anger issues and history of bad judgement calls. And that he should take our son to go to his dad's to another city. I hate that they are now involved in all this drama. This was the whole reason I didn't want them involved right away. I feel disrespected as a mother. I let her in to my life and in to my mom and around our son and she has this nasty judgmental bullshit to say about me. I really want to give her a piece of my mind. My boyfriend or now ex I'm not even sure at this point messaged her and told her that she needed to apologize to me and she made it all about how she feels and him treating her like crap and that she loved our son but he doesn't need her in his life. I'm just beyond livid
