Meeting my boyfriend's grandparents?

I'm going to dinner Tuesday with my boyfriend and his grandparents and it's the first time I'm meeting a part of his family. They live out of state (and so does his mom; I haven't met her) and he invited me to come with them (totally his idea... he texted his grandma saying that he wanted me to come with him and she said she'd love to meet me). He said that they're the most important people in his life and he wants me to meet them and that he feels it's significant. We've been dating for three months and official for two. He also said he sees a future for us (not sure what he means by that) and that he reallys like me and cares about me a lot and that I'm special to him. He's the type of guy that doesn't itake something like meeting family lightly (In my opinion anyway.. especially when they're as important to him as his grandparents). His dad died when he was 5, so they helped raise him. I'm very nervous and I can be very shy the first time I meet new people. Advice? Also it's a major sign that he wants me to meet them right?

He wants to look at you as his future, this is to make sure this is possible... You will be nervous and the most endearing thing you can do is tell them that you are a little nervous just apologise and tell them 'sorry, I am a little nervous as I get quite shy!' and they will think you are lovely straight away and forgive you for any mistakes you could make.

Please be yourself and enjoy meeting them, if he loves you that much then you will be fine as they will see it and accept you xx

I don't know how nervous you are, but it might be a good idea to eat light. Just be yourself. They won't eat you. They are not even there to meet you, they wanted to have dinner with their grandson and he thought of inviting you, so it's not about you. You don't have all the pressure...

I mean yes but he also said his grandparents can be racist at times and I’m black so that was a big factor in my nervousness

Yes, it means that the things he told you were sincere. Its ok to be shy, bring some flowers to grandmom. It shows consideration and that this is significant to you as well... and its also a bit of an icebreaker
