My boyfriend introduced me to his grandparents. Is this a big deal?

My boyfriend of almost 5 months took me to "meet" his grandparents yesterday, I'm the first girlfriend he's taken to meet them... They are in a cemetery and this was the first time in 12 years he's been there and his grandmother died 10 years ago. Is this a big deal or does it mean nothing that he wanted me to meet his grandparents?

I think it is definitely big or important that your boyfriend took you with him to see his deceased grandparents. Normal a person doesn't just open up to another person about their painful experiences very quickly and very easily. He feels pretty comfortable and courageous around you.
