For sure. It’s tough stuff, whether a romantic relationship or otherwise. But they say “it’s better to lose a love than to love a loser”, in the case of the former; and in the latter case, there’s not a catchy slogan for it, but it’s the same case of a let-down.

But as with most let-downs, it’s still just better to be blindsided by it sooner rather than later. All we can ultimately control in life is how WE move; and to make the best possible moves for ourselves, you need crucial information that will undoubtedly be a disappointment, if not outright disrespect or betrayal.

The longer it takes to find out, the worse the finding out usually feels. But it’s the sign of a sound mind to be able to be realizing it’s for the better overall, and knowing to move forward without them, or with them but in a different way, however much it hurts.

There have been moments in the past where I have experienced this kind of feeling. And it's not the best.
